New Collection: Chanel Holiday 2008

Chanel Holiday 2008

"A new romantic beauty reveals itself this holiday season amidst a wealth of gently shimmering shades. Eyes are positively heart-melting, accented with soft, warm tones of chocolate brown and beige, while lips glisten with a dark glimmering richness. Keeping it all in balance: a subtle, natural, candlelit glow on cheeks. The effect is nothing less than enchanting."

I saw the Beiges de Chanel E/S Quad and had to have it. It was my very first Chanel Quad, and it didn't disappoint. I was worried that the white shade would appear too chalky on my medium skin, but it didn't. All the shadows are soft and creamy and blend like a dream. My favorites however are the other 3. The pale gold shade looks lovely as a base. I use the medium brown/gold shade in my crease area and then use the dark brown shade as a liner color. It's a great quad to have because the colors are so versatile and classic. You really can't go wrong here. Though I used a gift card to buy this, I still think it was $ well spent. It's a luxury, but I love "basic" luxury items. This is something I'll use (almost) everyday. Perfect for work.
