Isharya Sale @ Gilt Groupe

These are the LOVELY Isharya Earrings that my husband gave me for Christmas. (Sure I asked for them, but still.) Their technical name is orbit short purple druzy earrings and they cost $208. They are made of purple agate crater druzy and are 18k gold plated. I had never heard if Isharya before, until I noticed the earrings in Lucky Magazine and had to have them. Visit the website, Isharya.com to see more cool jewelry. Prices tend to be a bit high, but you're in luck!

They're having a sale at the Gilt Groupe, where you'll find items like the ones shown below. Not a member? Not to worry, simply leave your email in the comments section and I'll invite you.

This Ebony Bangle is on sale for $89, originally $178.

My personal pick would be these Gold Tier Earrings, on sale for $68, originally $136. I LOVE dangly earrings.

Review: L'Oreal Double Extend Lash Extension Effect Mascara

I recently tried L'Oreal Double Extend Lash Extension Effect Mascara ($10.99.) It uses the same "tube" technology that Kiss Me Mascara does. I was definitely interested, because this one is about half the price of Kiss Me. The process is different though. First you apply the white side, the nourishing basecoat. Then you apply the red side, the ultra lengthening topcoat. It claims to be smudge proof, flake proof, clump-free and 80% longer looking lashes. I wouldn't go as far to say they look 80% longer. For some reason, I feel like applying the white coat makes the lashes seem longer. The Kiss Me formula is very thin and not very volumizing in any way. They both are awesome in that they can be removed with warm water only. So which one do I like better? This one. Half the price and provides some volume and length that Kiss Me doesn't.

New Collection: Almay Pure Blends

I was flipping through my February issue of Lucky, when I noticed this Almay Pure Blends ad. It immediately reminded me of the newer natural lines, like Carmindy for Sally Hansen and Revlon's Beyond Natural.

Here's what they say about it:
Over 95% natural ingredients. No compromise.
The new generation of natural cosmetics. With over 95% natural ingredients, including extracts from fruits and flowers, you’ll discover an irresistible range of pure, light infused colors. There’s no compromise. Moisture-rich ingredients, petal soft textures and glide-on, live-in, weightless formulas create a brighter, flawless, lasting finish.

This collection includes a foundation, lip gloss, loose powder, blush and eye shadow. Available at most drug stores. I can't say I am too interested in it, but if I did get anything, it would probably be the foundation. Do you want anything? Why or why not? Have you jumped on the organic bandwagon? I haven't really... yet.

Review: 3 Custom Color Speicalists Mood Lighting Shimmer Cremes

3 Custom Color Specialists Mood Lighting Shimmer Cremes ($20.50) are a sophisticated take on sparkle that go on light and creamy, and dry down to a fine, powdery finish. These silky crèmes are applied with fingertips to the face and decollete, leaving you luminous. Available in 2 shades: Afterglow (pearlescent champagne with flecks of gold and violet) and On Fire (bronzed shimmer with a swirl of opalescence.)

I really like to use On Fire in the hollows of my cheek bones for definition, then dot Afterglow on the cheek bones. Afterglow is perfect to use on cheek bones, eyebrow bones, cupid's bow and I even use it to draw a thin line down the center of my nose, to make it look thinner. The creme dries to a lovely, fine powder that lasts I'd say about half the day. But it's easy to just throw the compacts in your purse makeup bag. Or you can have them packaged in a refillable trio, including Champagne Eyeshadow as pictured below, for $60.
