Eve Pearl Reviews & Thoughts

I am completely new to the Eve Pearl brand but I've definitely watched many hours of her You Tube videos. There was a sale on Hautelook, so I took advantage and ordered a few things to try. Here they are:

Eve Pearl Lip Gloss Combo ($28) in Wet Kisses/ See Through. Provides shine and rich color with a minty flavor. Wet Kisses is a transparent berry tinted gloss and See Through is a pretty creamy mauve. I don't see why the two were paired together but I like them both separately. Wear time is medium. Nearly $30 is a lot for a gloss though.

HD Dual Foundation ($54) in Tan. A lightweight cream foundation that provides full coverage while allowing skin to breathe. 2 shades blend into skin and the pigments adapt to changes in skin cause dby weather, sun exposure and body chemistry. The problem with online makeup purchasing is obviously that you can't test. I had to guess, and I guessed Tan would match me. I was wrong. I mean, I can use the left side on the darker parts of my face, but I think Medium would have been much better. It's creamy and very light. Eve suggests using a damp sponge to press it into the skin to blend. I would have liked this a lot if it had been the right color.

Dual Salmon Concealer
($35) in Medium/Tan. 2 silky cream concealers to neutralize dark blue undertones in the under eye area. CosmeNutrients contain anti-oxidants, vitamins, proteins, peptides and minerals to nourish and protect the skins texture and elasticity. This is a product that EP is known for. I splurged and bought 2, one for me and one for my Mom, who is always looking for a way to conceal her under eye circles. Use the right side first to neutralize the blue. Then dab a little bit of the left side on top of that. Viola! What eye circles? $35 is TOTALLY pricey, but it does work.

Lush Lash Mascara ($22) in Black Onyx. A volumizing, lengthening and separating mascara. I was drawn to this for its brush that has tiny plastic bristles. The formula is a little bit waxy and it didn't hold the curl very well at all. I'd rather spend my $12 on L'Oreal Voluminous.

face candy grade: C

Overall, Eve Pearl makeup is high quality with some steep prices among a few reasonable ones. I wouldn't necessarily buy all the extras, like lipstick/gloss, eye shadow and mascara from her because it's pricey but I would consider the concealer, foundation and powder. I'm considering the Medium 3 Piece Flawless Face Kit and am interested in the HD Foundation Cream Blush and the Eyelash Fan Brush, so I'd say my experience was decent, not awesome, but I am willing to repurchase.
