Review: Becca Cosmetics Creme Blush & Eye Shadow

Becca Cosmetics Eye Colour Powder Shimmer in Shantung ($24 for .03 oz.) This is a silky powder shadow in a shade described as burnt-bronze. To me, it's a deep kind of espresso color with a golden sheen. I love the color and the texture is soft and easily blendable. It's a little on the small side, for comparison, a MAC Eye Shadow is .05 oz.

Becca Cosmetics Creme Blush in Byzantine ($30 for .07 oz.) I was a little unsure about this color because it looked a little muddy in the pot. But when you dab some on your cheeks, the medium peach color is infused with a gold shimmer that brightens your entire face. Surprisingly I think it would work on most skin tones. I find it's pretty long wearing for a cream blush too, providing up to 4 hours of wear. This one was a happy surprise. Compared to a MAC Blushcreme (.21 oz.) it's tiny.

Overall, these are great products at a higher price point. They definitely get points for having a cool metal emblem on the packaging. I haven't been disappointed by a Becca product yet. I bought these on some private sale website. Hautelook, I think. It's always a bit of a gamble shopping sight unseen with cosmetics, but it's a good way for me to buy things to test out.
