Review: MAC - Alice + Olivia

“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn’t. And contrary-wise, what it is, it wouldn’t be, what it wouldn’t be, it would. You see?” — alice + olivia \ Stacey Bendet, new York native, downtown-fashionista, all-around fun girl, and the sum total of design line alice + olivia, MAC’s latest collaborator.

A frump-fighting, pro-pixie, anti-seriousness collection of colour that includes new takes on Dazzleglass Creme, So Rich So Pretty Nail Lacquer and Partylicious Pigments…

hip + happy = alice + olivia for MAC.

Dazzleglass Creme ($18 US/$21 CDN) All LE
-Sparklicious- Creamy pale pinky white with soft multi-dimensional pearl
-If it’s Pink…- Hot pink with soft multi-dimensional pearl
Definitely hot pink with soft pearl.

face candy grade: B

-I.Want.Candy.- Hot yellow with soft multi-dimensional pearl

Pigment ($19.50 US/$23.50 CDN) All LE
-If It Sparkles…- White with transforming pink pearl
This is really pretty wet and dry. It's a frosty iridescent pink.
-Partylicious- Turquoise with silver pearl
This is an emeraldy green. More bold when wet.
-Later.- Black with transforming purple pearl
My favorite of the 3! A sooty purple, nearly black.

face candy grade: B (because of the change in packaging)

Nail Lacquer ($12 US/$14.50 CDN) All LE
-So Rich So Pretty- Bright purple with pearl (Frost)
-Morning.After.- Creamy turquoise (Cream)
-Military- Black matte with silver suede pearl (Matte with Pearl)
I love all of them. Favorite was Morning.After.

face candy grade: A
