Laura Mercier Oil Free Supreme Foundation vs Silk Creme Foundation

The Oil Free Supreme Foundation ($42) is new to the Laura Mercier foundation collection. It provides a soft matte finish while providing lightweight, medium to full coverage. It will work well for those with oily skin. I loved the coverage, it easily removed the redness on my cheeks and nose. It definitely minimizes the appearance of pores.

While I liked the Oil Free Supreme Foundation, I didn't feel like it was the best formula for my skin type. I ordered the Silk Creme Foundation ($42) in Bamboo Beige.

Don't you hate it when you realize that none of your foundation matches your skin anymore? My skin has lost color from working inside and not getting much sun, so once I was medium and now I'm light.

Anyway, I adore this Silk Creme Foundation. It is the ultimate holy grail foundation for me. It's soft and creamy and rich. It hydrates while providing full coverage without a heavy look. Only a pea sized amount covers my face. I use a light dusting of her Invisible Loose Setting Powder ($34) on my T zone only to ensure the semi-matte look.

My skin is combination, dry on my cheeks and only slightly oily on my T zone. Both foundations are fantastic. These are the first LM foundations I've tried and it's no wonder she's famous for the flawless face. I preferred the Silk Creme Foundation but she has many that may suit you. I highly recommend them.
