L'Occitane Immortelle Products

L'Occitane is one of those stores that I can never pass by without going in. It's so clean and fresh and... French.

My favorite shower gel is the Almond Shower Oil ($24). I think if I had to only use one shower gel for the rest of my life, it would be this one. That's pretty profound. It now comes in a 16.9 oz Eco-Refill ($36).

The first Immortelle product I used was the Immortelle Essential Water ($27). I bought it because I loved the deep blue bottle. The alcohol free toner has a lovely scent and is very refreshing.

Immortelle is known as the "everlasting" flower, it has cell-regenerating properties that can heal stretch marks, acne, and other skin problems. It's also said to prevent aging.

The Brightening Essence ($56) is a serum that brightens the complexion, exfoliates and corrects wrinkles. I can't verify it corrects wrinkles, but I will say after one use my skin was definitely brighter. It could have been the Bellis Perennis extract and Vitamin C that's said to diminish age spots and give skin a youthful glow or the Garden Nasturtium extract that increases the skin's natural ability to reflect light. Whatever it was, it worked. This too has the signature Immortelle scent, which is strong. You may want to sniff before you buy.

People say you can tell the age of a woman by the condition of her hands. The secret to young looking hands is sun protection. Try the Immortelle Brightening Hand Care SPF 15 ($30). I keep this very light cream at my desk and use mostly on the back of my hands. It's not particularly moisturizing but it smells nice and prevents premature aging.
