Fergie for Wet n Wild Nail Color

I was at Walgreens and saw a display with a new collection Fergie did with Wet n Wild. I'm not a huge Fergie fan but many of the 24 colors included glitter. I have been wanting to try some cheaper glitter polishes, because although I love the looks of Deborah Lippman's glitter polishes, they're $16-18.

The Fergie for Wet n Wild Nail Color is $3.49 but there was a $1 off coupon on the display, so I got it for $2.49. I got Flossy Flossy - chunky rose gold glitter with tiny specks of green glitter in a clear base. I layered it over Essie Bobbing for Baubles ($7). I didn't really like the green glitter and the clear base was too thick, even after I put on a top coat. Maybe some of the others are better. For $2.50... it's not bad. I'm considering buying my own glitter in the future so I can have more control.

Guess it goes to show that just because a celebrity endorses a product does not mean it is a good product. I have used Wet 'n Wild polishes in the past, and even bought a mascara once, until a friend told me that lead is one of the ingredients. Ugh. I'll stick to E.L.F. and NYX for inexpensive beauty products.
